Beautiful. The Cumbria steamboat museum is worth a look too. Should be even better once they have completed the new buildings.

The Windermere Steam Boat Museum has been closed for some years now but the boats have been in careful storage and renovation. Its replacement, the Winderemere Jetty, is due to open in 2017 but still seemed someway off last time I drove by. The website ( www.windermerejetty.org) is worth looking at.

Love this stuff, recall seeing similar steam driven boats at the Seattle centre for wooden boats. Nice place to walk around for nutters like us... Cheers, Bert

Yes they are lovely there is an air of quality and a bygone era about them, a bit like Morgan's Bert and we probably are all a bit nutty.
Do you have any Steam launches in Holland ?

The Typhoon display is amazing .How just a crew of one can carry out everything! When it passes slowly then shoots skywards is unbelievable ! Then think it is a weapon of war !

I remember seeing those steam boats when doing one classic boat regatta but I am not sure where that was - maybe Plymouth, maybe Fowey. Bit more charm than the modern TTT
TTT = "Tupperware Tart Trap" or Mobo ie Princess etc.
