Hi there, since almost three years I had the plan to look deeper into the M3W. I don't know why, but I never followed up on the idea of buying one. Until this spring when i heard that a dear friend just bought one. So , it took another 3 months until I was up for a test ride. I went to my local dealer and kind of was dissapointed with the ride. Extremly hard clutch, bad noises from the bevel box, very difficult to find the right gear as the gear box somehow blocked. I went back home. been sad and dropped the idea of buying a Threewheeler. 3 Weeks later, by coincidance I heard of an M3W which was for sale. I looked into it and bought it on the phone, without seeing it in the flesh, nor having seen any high-res images. I did forget about all the bad test-ride experience and told myself that the tested car must have had some problems (I still hope that my car will be different :D). What should I say - two weeks ago I got my car delivered. Unfortunately on the same afternoon we left our home for a three week vacation. Yes - I was sitting in my car and it is absolutely gorgeous. But - I didnt drive it yet as on the delivery day it was raining cats and dogs. So - we pushed the car from the closed trailer into our garage, locked the garage and up we went for our vacation. Next week we are flying back home and you guys know already what will be the first thing I will be doing once I'm back at home Thanks for this incredible forum. I love to read a lot about these fantastic and very different cars. Looking forward of chatting with all of you!!!

Wish you all the best! It will be fun most of the time and there will be troubles once in a while. That's all part of the M3W onership. And don't mind that everyone will be staring at you.

Hi Lars and welcome.
The MX5 gearbox fitted to the M3W is probably the best part of it, so as you suggest your test car must have had some rare fault.
