Hi
After proudly displaying a cracked windscreen at the Gaydon meet on Saturday [ thanks so much for organising all, great fun ] the time has come to fix it.
How much of a specialist job is the replacement of an Aero plus 8 windscreen ? Is it a complex task or a job that can be done well by a relatively inexperienced operative i.e. Autoglass ?
I would appreciate your expert views.
Cheers
John

National windscreens organised mine with a specialist company in Cheshire.
Cost me £80 (the excess) via insurance, but took three weeks to resolve
good luck

I had a problem with National as they came to repair my screen and extended the crack. Just had the factory replace it and claimed it back on insurance. I think they replaced the whole windscreen assembly.

I would go the same way if I had todo it again.

The factory would be my first port of call if i had to replace mine.

That or your dealer. The screen only comes as a full assembly...not just the glass.
