I've been talking to a chap today who told me that he suffers from angina. He's prescribed a spray of glyceryl trinitrate.
He claims that if he adds it to his fuel tank it "imporoves" engine performance more than any mods.....!
Pictured him chasing his lawnmower round the lawn......

Just remembered that in that lovely film "the last indian" old wossisname adds a heart tablet to his bike fuel to win the record....

I'm fortunate in having a family friend who grew up in the street next to the lock up garage in which Burt Munroe lived.
He confirms that the portrayal of Bert by Anthony Hopkins is accurate enough, Burt never scored with ladies as wholesome as the ones portrayed in the film.
Incidentally, when Bevars had a summer job in a petrol station, Burt Munroe was the only customer who was not permitted credit!
