Bonnet grill and cowl removed and MAF changed in an hour. The last one only lasted a year and 5000 miles. Note to self stop buying £25 MAFs. I have no idea how to post pictures on Talk Morgan but if anyone is interested I could send them the pics for them to post.

Gareth, Yes, I can post these images for you if you send them to my email. I will send you it as a personal message from this site. I have not had a MAF sensor fail in over 5 years of S1 ownership. There has been quite a few others that have had that problem. They do come a lot more expensive than the £25 you quote. Someone highlighted a cost of over £100 and that didn't last long. Dave

Thanks for putting the pics on David.
The hard part is getting at the two screws that hold the MAF in place. I cut the tool in half and used a quarter ratchet to remove them and put the new one in place.
I know a new MAF can cost from £25 to £250 then labour on top. I live in Yorkshire so £25 and an hour of my time a year looks good to me.
