Black Phey is not making them anymore. But I like the idea of no upholstery or water soaking stuffing. Has anybody tried plastic that can be formed with Hot Water? I have ordered some material from Amazon.com that is supposed to be formed in this manner. Any ideas?

I would be tempted to curve some thin aluminium. It wouldn't need to be more than 1.2mm. Covered with neoprene, or camping mat if there was enough room, with the leather over the top.

That is what I am trying to do at the moment. Actually trying to soften the aluminium with a torch and quentioning (sp) with cold water to soften so I can form it. Not doing very good at the moment.

I think it would need to be square line, because circular plastic guttering isn't the right profile.

I think the problem with semi-circular section guttering is that would be insufficient depth with the smaller sizes, and too great a radius with the larger. I fitted a set of the Black Phey covers many years ago, and a jolly fine thing they are too. If Vic Champness has stopped making them, I wonder what became of the moulds? Maybe someone else, Sid Watson for example, would be interested in carrying on with them?

I am still trying to solve My Sill Cover problem within My Skills. Here is My latest idea; https://www.systemthree.com/products/sculpwood-moldable-epoxy-puttyNot particularly inexpensive but looks like it has some benefits. This putty could be molded around the fuel lines and electric wires. Sanded, carved, painted or covered. The downside is can it be removed. I wonder if I layed plastic food wrap in first and built this structure up I could then remove it and/or screw it down with Wood Screws.
