We plan a short trip to Iceland to hope to see the Northern lights.
So we aim to stay 3 days in Reykjavik & use local tour operators for the lights ,golden circle & blue lagoon.

Any advise or recommendations for a trip in Nov.

We went in 2001 (December) and used Iceland air to arrange the tours. We went for a galicer tour on quadbikes/skis (motorised)

We went in 2001 (December) and used Iceland air to arrange the tours. We went for a galicer tour on quadbikes/skis (motorized) and a day tour around the lagoons etc. in a 4x4 (a very large and modified one).

Great memories. Only issue (nobodies fault) was that it was the warmest Christmas they'd had and not enough snow to make reaching the glaciers easy for our tour so we changed to Icelandic Horse riding (do not call them ponies they get very upset). I had limited riding experience and was OK but quite exhilaring riding at some speed through glacial streams and trying not to fall off!

I blame Kerry Catona..

No trees, either. There's a joke somewhere in there about Icelandic branches, but it's too late now..

Always fancied taking the bike there many moons ago, but it's hard to summon up the energy these days.

Have a great trip John.

Iceland is AMAZING. We went late October just gone. One of our favourite destinations we have been to.

How did you get on ?
