My car runs out of warranty in November, can anyone recommend a good extended warranty company which does'nt cost the earth and gives good cover, i've had one quote from Warrantywise which was £1525 for 12 months which i thought was exorbitant, any suggestions would be appreciated.

As a general rule, I steer completely clear of any and all extended warranties.
Why? Because you only have to look at the enthusiasm with which companies try to sell them. They are enthusiastic because they know they can make flippin' ginormous profits on them, usually by charging exorbitant premiums which prey on people's fears, and by being as slippery as a greased pig when it comes to payng out on any claims.
Much better in my view to start an 'emergency repairs' fund and stick a few quid every month into it.

I had never even thought about an extended warranty. Who'd be crazy enough to do it and how many exclusions would be written into it so that you'd get squat.
Ever since I bought this beast I have planned for failure. That meant that I pushed for all the first years warranty work hard as I broke things quickly since I DRIVE this car. The other is planning ahead and setting aside funding for future grief.
This car resembles a boat in that it is a hole in the water that one throws money into forever...
What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.
