I have to say again, what am an amazingly civilized and helpful forum this is!

Such a post on most other speciality vehicle forums would have quickly turned in to some sort of shouting match.

Just to be clear about two things.
I never expected Morgan to make a perfect car.... but I did expect them to respond better to the problems that occurred.
And.... my three wheeler is already gone and I've moved on to other vehicles.

Curiously it seems that many of the problems that people complain about are related to the engine. That, as it goes without saying, is not a Morgan product.

Perhaps they should have chosen a different engine for the M3W, one that was designed for an in-line drive wink

I don't own a 3W, but it seems they certainly have issues. I would not have been happy in your shoes either - very disappointing. Whether it's the engine (or anything else) it's down to Morgan to sort out, or at least it should be.

I am really sorry to hear of the dreadful experience you have had and wish you well with your next car. Do keep in touch with the forum and let us know what you chose we are all petrol heads on here and some of us realise that MMC can and do get it wrong sometimes as do most manufacturers.

I find it interesting the way that MMC deal with this kind of thing. I believe they do try and keep up with the problems in most cases, but if there is an overwhelming problem such as the Three Wheeler, which undoubtedly was put into production far to early, because of all the forward orders and interest in the car, they just close down and ignore what is happening, and just 'firefight' on an individual basis and work on the assumption it will eventually go away, people will just get fed up and sell their cars, and anyway, the warranty will run out and they won't have to honour this after that happens. So, I believe that not replying is part of this process.

The other thing of course is that they are so phenomenally busy with orders, they just do not have the manpower to actually keep up, so it will be the people that 'shout loudest' who get the attention.

I can't help but wonder if they agree compensation, but owners are put under some kind of gagging agreement, because we hear very little about this side of things, and I do not believe that people who have made a big fuss and talked about the legal position etc will always let it go, so no doubt something will be happening behind the scenes?

The engine fitted to the Guzzi V11 was superb.
Serious grunt and with the Ti pipes fitted, a glorious soundtrack.

I dont think its the engine that people are having issues with, but the items between the transmission and the driving wheel.

Yes the engine seems almost the best thing other than the cam gear problem, by far and away it's the transmission of the power and exhaust issues which as far as I read are still very "live" issues after several years of production.

I don't believe this would have happened on Peter Morgan's watch he was a man of great integrity.
