Steve, those were offered in 1963 by Morgan in the +4+, only 26 people wanted them. The same with the raked, curved windscreen and proper wiper blades.

Not a conundrum at all for me, I have this fabulous device called a "thermostat" which switches the central heating on when it's needed.

The sidescreens have to be done manually, of course, but I do it on an as needed basis rather than a date.

I'm with you Ian. Home heating and cooling use when we feel it's required, same with side screens and hood. Irrespective of time of year.
I once worked with a Yorkshire man, who would only allow heating in winter and it wasn't because he was hard, more the case he was tight.

Never fit them on my vintage Sunbeam, I suppose they are still in the well behind the seat. I do keep the hood up most of the time as it looks better with it up & I've never found how to fold it to avoid fretting on the frame. In the rain if you keep moving the rain just goes round you.
