250,000 in my Kent 4/4. 30,000 p.a for the first three years. I would imagine a Sigma would be just as reliable. Perfect meabh - that's some mileage  . p.s. Have you had much chance to prove the Roadster yet ?

I wouldn't hesitate in getting a 4/4 Sigma - I had a Sport in 2009 and put 24,000mls on it in 4 years and it was perfectly reliable. There is another guy on here called Jeremy (WR142LL) that uses his as a daily driver and when he last surfaced on here about a year ago had put about 70,000miles on his. The M3W has had a myriad of problems the latest of which is cracked main frame. These are proving to be very expensive ownerships. For confirmation just check the Three Wheeler threads, I wouldn't entertain one until the factory has the whole package thoroughly developed especially for a daily driver personally however exciting they are to drive. That's good news Roger - is he barging around Amsterdam nowadays I haven't seen a post on here since last October - perhaps he has retired out there  ... His version of 'Planes, Trains & Automobiles' is Moggng, Motorhoming & Narrow Boating so I don't think he has any time to TM these days!

Richard, Thanks for asking but the answer is not so far. I began to think I might be jinxed as, like the previous owner, I became too ill (but with some kind of bug) to get on with it -total exhaustion after doing summat simple. Anyway, I am on the case. I have made gaitors for the front springs, aluminium rear wing protectors, and a temporary front protector for the radiator until I can make a full width valance. My biggest drive was bringing it here -900 miles- and I did settle into it quickly but feel that there is a long way to go yet before I've learnt the ropes. It could be the subject of a write up, as, apart from Evo and the first Roadster,, and a couple of others in the press, not much has been said about the Sport era Roadsters. I'm just coming up to 7000 miles. It had 5000 miles on it when I bought it from BHM. It's a 2010 car and as far as I can tell, extremely well put together, not even any sign of paint rubbing!

meabh, Sorry to hear you have been hit by a bug. You have certainly clocked some miles up on her and still lots of exploring to be done. Wishing you some good weather and the return to good health with it.
It will be very interesting to hear your impressions later on when the dust settles.

The two are very different driving experiences.
Just like SBM I have had both.
Loved my M3W - and would love another - if I had a double garage or a rented a second garage.
When I bought my 4/4 it was clear that it was a much more comfortable drive, more useable,more weather friendly with the side screens,hood and heater etc.Better on longer trips.
So there you are - not much help I guess?
No doubt the 4/4 would IMO be the better choice.
This is not to offend my many M3W mates!! Very same experience. Still owning my M3W but using it not that much any more while the 4/4 runs 10.000km a year

I tend to agree with Taffmog.
I use my 2 seater 4/4 mostly as a daily driver from March till November & therefore I think I can testify about the car's usability.
Getting in & out of the car is a bit of a physical exercise & it is quite cramped inside with the hood up for one.
Don't forget that you need to fill the fridge at Tesco's once a week as well & that for that reason only you will be very happy to have the space available behind the front seats of a 4 seater.
A used 4 seater should be affordable financially.

I drove my '70 4/4 as a daily driver 8 months out of the year up in Canada all through high school, college, and a few years after that. I would have driven it through the winter, but I didn't have a block heater and the engine wouldn't start. My parents drove it as their daily driver before that.
I just bought my 4-seater to have a daily driver while I restore the '70.
Driving a Morgan as a daily driver is not only do-able, it's fun!

Thanks for the advice - after a few months deliberation I went for a "compromise" and purchased the Tango/Orange "Speedster" 4/4 that was on the for sale section recently.
Look out for me on Herefordshire/Gloucestershire roads, you cannot miss me!

Were you aware of the cars rarity story..?
Either way, if you're passing the factory then call in for a coffee in the visitors centre. Martin Webb, MMC's archivist has the sister car..
