Sadly we have to regret the passing of so many important musicians during this year. But this post wants to say something positve. Today evening was the night of joy and musicality. I went with my 22y old son to the Rolling Stones concert in Düsseldorf. Wow! After two songs you simply forget their age so strong and vital was the sound and the whole show. They are really still alive. Beside the evergreens they played some tunes of the last blues album. Very very good...and a very happy son as well because he could see them now. He was so impressed about the „real“ guitar sounds etc. And I was happy about the concert and about the experience we both happily could share.

Wish I was there.......last time I saw them was 1965 when Satisfaction came out!

I saw them in Charlottesville, Virginia a few years ago. Outstanding concert. It was interrupted for an hour in the middle by a bomb scare. The stage was cleared and screened by Va State Police dogs. The venue is a football stadium and they had a 2nd stage that moved to the middle on rails so it became a concert in the round.
Being from Merseyside I was never a big RS fan but that concert was a treat.

Heinz great to see the younger generation appreciate good music. My only claim to fame was that Mick Jaggers dad taught me PE when training to teach!

That sounds like a great Father and Son evening these times are special. The pictures of the Stones are not good so I'm relieved to hear they are still sounding good.

I saw them in 2002 at Wembly with my mother, who was 80 and couldn't wait to be searched, wife, sister and niece. We all thought what a great show.

One of the greatest ever rock bands without a doubt. I've seen them twice, in 1980 in Bristol, and 2004 in Zurich. Both shows were just awesome.
