Some quotes from the August article in Top Gear Magazine:

"The Morgan, on the other hand,is a lazy, rumbly old thing, happy to get on with the business at hand once it's been roused, much as you would a shaggy old dog snoozing in front of an open fire."

"By the time you get round to comparing the precise movement of the MF5's hood with the Morgan's rather creaky roof panels, it's clear that only the most myopic jingoiist could objectively choose the idiosyncratic Brit over the obscure German. The Wiesmann is better made, rides and handles better, and comprehensively out-performs the Aero SS."

ooo redcard

Like choosing a polyester suit over a wool blend. toff

Still, perhaps Mr. Barlow likes the smell of bonding agent and fibreglass.

Jason Barlow, the man who brought you such world class motor journalism as,"What would be in John Prescotts glovebox?", and, if I recall, once telphoned Demon Tweeks to complain that their go-faster stripes didn't work?

Clearly, Mr Barlow is a serious opinion-former and we should all be hanging on his every word ooo

So do I - in the right place (have to be careful here as a former TVR owner grin2) - usually in powered boat

My Griff and Cerbera only ever smelt of leather, I don't suppose the Weismann is any different. If I was in the market for an ASS then the only comment that would bother me is the "better made" one. I will have to go to the Library (AKA as W H Smiths) to see how they justify the comment.

Given the Weisman retails at over 180k it's around 50% more expensive than the SS though, so hardly a fair comparison surely?
