We are lucky enough to be building the garage we always wanted, and the M3W will have a place of pride. As soon as it is done, I need to drop the rear wheel to work on the brakes. Has anyone found a good powered lift that works well with the M3W? I was looking at various motorcycle lifts, but I just don't see that working out. The floor is getting epoxy coated next week, but I couldn't resit doing a bit of decorating last night

I have a two post in my garage and have thought how do the dealers lift the 3wheeler. These days most of the dealers have two post lifts. Therefore I think they must use a lifting beam that goes between two of the lift pick up points. It would have to have some shaped parts at the ends to fit on the lift pads and probably at the lifting point for the car but nothing that a local steel fabricator could not weld up for £100 to £150. On the other hand a four post lift will have no problem with the front wheels but you would want some load bearing center panels for the rear wheel again that needs done by a fabricator and load tested. This thread never came up with a great answer. http://www.talkmorgan.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/256045/1Talk to a Morgan dealer that must have been thought about and a safe working procedure put in place to lift the cars.

This is what several of our CVO-Harley Forum guys have done to save some floor space. With it embedded into the floor, you can drive over it without any bump etc. I could see this setup working very well for the M3W. A couple cross bars and you're going up in the air. It does not lend itself to an open under, but if you were going to be changing out the rear wheel/tyre, you could just keep it off the rear of the lift table a bit and get the job done. Also I know a lot of guys here also have bikes and this would be great for a dual purpose garage. Just thought I'd share it with you all. By the way, the garage looks awesome...

I have a two post lift I use to lift my trike and 4 Wheelers. I use a fabricated beam across the front tow arms for the trike. The beam spans the front two arms as the front arms, when extended, are not narrow enough for the trike. The back two are fine. (1934 MX4) I can send pics if desired.
Cheers,

Nice garage ☺
All you need is a trolley jack on each side to lift the rear end for wheel removal
