The 2003 - 06 dash with the four small instruments is badly designed for indicator telltales. The lights are hard to see in daylight as they are behind tinted plastic. I've added an orange triangle above and between the indicator telltales, and I added a telltale on the indicator arm early on. It lines up with the hole in the steering wheel at the straight ahead position. I've also bought a bleeper, but haven't yet fitted it.

My indicators are put on by me and cancelled by me every time. It's called driving to the system. training and grade one for over 30yrs comes in handy the dash board warning light is all you should need your vision should be good enough or speck savers needs a visit And highly trained pilots never forget to lower their undercarriage or switch fuel tanks at the appropriate time. But forgetting an indicator is unlikely to kill you !

Think how many people do this at junctions every day when you are turning left. And what about the occasion when you are not turning?

All I'm saying is you don't need to teach this granny to sucks eggs Ive seen all combinations of stupidity on the road in my time The question is about indicators not Aircraft

I guess my point would be that some blunt ergonomic help never goes astray - be it in aircraft or Morgans. Hard to believe but most light planes do not have warning lights or audio signals if the oil pressure is dropping or fuel quantity or pressure is in the danger zone. Yes you are meant to notice that instrument on the other side of the panel, the one tucked under the knees of your copilot, is silently trying to tell you your motor will stop in five minutes if you don't do something while you are talking to ATC, changing frequency and trying to fly the bloody thing. I once cooked a 20,000 euro engine because I did not notice the oil pressure falling while concentrating on some other life threatening issues.
Stevemag's point is a good one - stay alert. But the interaction between human and machine is filled with flaws and one of them is the location of the indicator light on my Morgan.

A buzzer, louder click or a warning light higher up would be a good prompt I fixed the indicator warning light with my custom dash. The two upper warning lights are the left and right indicators. The lower pair are parking lights and high beam. The small one in the middle is the immobiliser light. Hi Peter I really like the ergonomics of your dashboard. If I may ask, where did you get it from? Also are those instruments standard size? Thanks Nick
