The time has now come when I need to put some new boots on the front of my M3W.
I do not think I will go for another set of Avons as I feel they were never intended to be used on wheels that actually had to do some steering. (I had them on the rear of a BSA Golden Flash sidecar outfit back in the 60's).
So I am torn between Blockleys and Coker Excelsiors.
I would be grateful of any feed back (good or bad) from other owners of M3W's who have used either of these.
Thanks in advance for any comments.

Excelsiors are better in so far as they no not "flat spot" if left for any length of time.
What ever your choice, use Blockley inner tubes. They are better.

Yes... Blockley tubes. I went with Blockeys because they are basically the same as the Cokers yet less expensive even with shipping here to the colonies.

Coker Excelsior tires will outlast the Blockleys by a considerable margin. The Blockley tubes are superior to the Coker tubes and the outer hardware is prettier.
What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.

I got my Coker's here, as several people suggested they lasted longer than the similar Blockley's. Very pleased with them and little wear after 4000 miles. Re-used original Blockley tubes. Can't remember what I paid but note they are currently exactly the same price as Blockley's

I am pleased with my Blockleys supplied and fitted by MWS in Langley, just round the corner from me. If you do go there drop in for coffee.

Have done about 26000 miles on Blockleys (not just the one set!) and been very happy with them. Haven't tried the Excelsiors so can't make any informed comment about them but can ask about grip levels when pushing on. Any comment from those who've used both for "enthusiastic" driving? I wouldn't want to have any less grip than I get from the Blockleys, they do work well on the three wheeler.

Have only done 60 odd miles on the Blockleys on my new car (while it was running) and they seemed good to me!
