Hello People, The LH rear suspension of my '97 +8 appears to be sagging slightly - although arguably, from an aesthetics viewpoint, it's more the RH side riding high..? Difference between the two sides is around 15mm (5/8"). Thinking of changing out the leaf-springs but notice the same differential when the rear is jacked up with both wheels hanging. Hmmm....a bit flummoxed - it seems one side set higher than the other - at this point thinking of using a spacer to level things out. Am I missing something??? Thanks...once more.....again.....

On a '95 +4 in Calgary, Canada (Imported from Belgium/Spain) the LH spring was set to compensate for the Driver's weight. Look in the rear of the chassis to see if there are 2 sets of mounting holes.

Never heard of a Morgan having a beefed up spring on the driver's side. Seems rather unlikely as drivers' weights vary so much and, as you imply, it would be aesthetically poor. My '82 Plus 8 has an extra leaf each side as it was ordered with a tow bar (which is still in place, nicely chromed). A pair of new springs would sort things out.

Neither did I until the +4 Calgary Owner sent Me some pictures of it on His level garage floor. He did some measuring and found the extra holes at the rear of the LH spring on the chassis. Very strange. I have been trying to get Him interested in "Talk Morgan". He has a T16 +4 and there are only 3 or 4 T16's in North America. He is using Me as a source of information but I know very little (nothing) about a T16 engine etc.

I has sagging on the right hand side on my +4, it turned out to be a collapsed spring!
