I'm only a few miles away from the Higland Park distillery right now, working at the Flotta Oil Terminal. NOt going to get the chance to sample anything this trip unfortunately.

It's a good visit the Highland Park one.

An old colleague of mine lived in Kirkwall and one of his daughters use to run the visitor centre, we visited many times.

Can the NVH bar be removed and not used? Will be getting a new chassis for my 2012. I guess what I'm asking is the NVH now an integral part of the new chassis. I've never had any complaints about BB noise and don' need the extra weight of the NVH

They would have to weld on the old style mounts on new chassis! possible !but bet they make it to latest spec !!!!

Yes the bar, which is so heavy I think it must be made out of depleated uranium or something supports the back of the bevel box in fact the bevel box clunks right down onto the frame when you remove the bar. Its a buggger to get back in!

Not sure how the NVH bar could be integrated into chassis as by its very nature it has to be isolated from chassis.

You would have to have the old style lugs welded to the frame for the rear bevel box mounts.

also the metal inserts that are on the bushings on the adjustable dampers are wider than the mounting points on the frame. FYI
