The bevel box noise is a screaming in a particular road speed band typically around 50-70 mph.

A rattle may well be the fuel vapour canister mounted on the rear bulkhead near to the seatbet top mounts.

Bevel box sounds like a air raid siren! high pitch whine !! the clicking is usually a small valve device for the fuel system! it located under the plastic tray in the rear, the valve is held by 1 fixing and bounces up and down causing the noise, add cable ties to stop it moving.... cheers

I thought the clicking sound was the tiny roll over valve. If so it's easily accessible mounted high up above the left hand fuel tank (part 6 below), and not behind any panel - on my 2016 car at least.

Had it make a slight rattle once or twice but not bad enough to justify any correction.

My BB sounds like a blue whale when warm around 50-60 mph.

It is also possible to play a tune with it by adjusting the road speed slightly up or down.

Something to amuse myself with on those long motorway journeys.

Sorry misread your previous post blush Having just removed my centre seatbelt protection panel to replace rusty bolts I initially though that.

My rollover valve rattled like crazy when I’d have a passenger. Seems the change in weight distribution made the difference. At first I tried cable ties to keep it stable. That helped but didn’t solve the problem. Recently I took two pieces of Dynomat, stick them together (glue side to glue side) to make a thick pad, and wrapped that around the valve using cable ties. Problem solved.

Picked up my new M3W today, and by the sound of it I am getting the same banging noise on hard acceleration (plus the sort of Bevel Box whine that I thought MMC had eliminated a while ago). I will have to look at the cost of securing the Box to the chassis as suggested above.

Otherwise, it's fantastic.
