Hey guys
I took my aero 8 (2007 so Series 2/3?) out today, being a little sunny I gave the windscreen a little squirt to remove some dirt and all hell broke loose.
The washer and wiper wouldn't stop, the back of one of the jets blew off and started to soak the back of the dash (and it just so happened to be the drivers side). The car then faulted (hazard lights came on) and now she beep while at rest with the car turned off and door open (like the lights are left on or keys are left in the ignition) and once started, she picks up there's a fault with the washer, turns on the washer indicator and turns on the hazards.
I've pulled the fuse for the wipers and washer so I could drive home and reset the main issolator/batter switch for 20 mins to see if I could wipe any lingering fault code, but no luck.
Any ideas?

yes seen this and its down to poor electronics particularly the PCB having poor soldering, if the electronics got wet then you're going to see more problems?
Looks like its PCB board out and cleaning / drying and ensuring you have good electrical connections.
Its a real shame Morgan do not encapsulate the electronics as its well known water gets in eventually

This was a common issue with the S2 I would guess that yours is an S3 (Mini lamps) but suspect most of the dash engineering was identical. The pipework behind the dashboard for the windscreen washers would fail. I think it was age related for the materials involved. It needs the dash dropping and then the pipework replacing and securing better. The water starts to leak causing the on/off issue then it all gets a bit furry from there. Throw the main red power isolator switch on the back of the aluminium fuse box. Let it all dry out (du-humidifier in the footwell) and then get the dashboard out and sort the pipework. I don't think the pipework is specific to Morgan so take a sample to a general car supplies place and see if they have similar to use and cut to length etc. The water bottle is in the front wing (I think passenger side) so if you are able to change it all the way back great, if not focus on the back of the dashboard. I am not certain of the link for the S2/3 but this link is for the parts explosion for the Supersports/Coupe and I would guess they have similar parts? https://www.aero-racing.co.uk/partsbooks/supersports/main_menu.htm
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Hi Gover, As Graham mentioned it's a fair chance it's a washer tube issue. It's happened twice on both my series I's. You will have to pull the dash apart, but in fairness to Morgan, only on this occasion, I think a lot of it happens because of the huge heat generated from the engine, which finds it's way under the dash. When it happened to me the water tube detached itself and made a short across the demist button, which still to this day is not working. In your case if the water has just squirted under the dash any number of faults could manifest itself. Good luck with the dismantling of the dash and the bottom plastic plinth, you will swear.
