I have known of this car for quite some time and was able to get it from the owner who had it sitting on jack stands for the last 30 years. Not started just sitting and IN AMAZING condition for its age. LOADS of parts 2 workshop manuals a load of books and receipts for work and parts dating back to 1963. I can build an entire transmission and gear box plus a master brake cylinder and loads of other do dads.

I will post more about this SUPER cool story here are a few pics!

This car is/was a couple miles from my house and I stopped and talked with the owner many times. It sat in the spot shown for at least 20 years and every Morgan enthusiast in Western PA tried to buy it. It was never for sale. My friend who owns a foreign car repair garage around the corner from where the car sat repaired it for the owners at least 20 years ago. They drove it only a few times and one of the axles snapped. It has been sitting ever since. Its a shame they let it sit with the garage door open for years as I have watched the weather take its toll on the car. I saw it filled with snow on more than one occasion. Good for you that you were able to buy it. Every time I spoke with the owners they were always going to restore it....someday.
Best of luck with it. John

That, I feel sure, will once again be moving in it's own glory.
Good luck with the restoration!

Thanks for the kind words and every day i learn more and more I am really starting to love this car. I love how raw it is. So simple. Coming from my mercedes sl500 this thing will be a breeze.. I HOPE! I took delivery on the weekend of the VGP of Pittsburgh and hope to have it competed by the time the next one rolls around. The snapped axle was actually only a broken u-bolt that was fixed ages ago.

Thanks for the info on the local lore of the car. When we pulled it out it was one of the strangest things i have ever seen. Like flies to honey people just SHOWED up and were asking all KINDS of questions about the car and how they have seen it in the for all these years and always wondered about it. It was quite the scene from QUIET empty neighborhood to families of people just walking towards the car looking it over.

Yes, it did sit in that garage for AGES and not under a tarp which i think helped it survive as well as it did. I am going to keep it as orig as i possibly can. Its really all there and in really good shape. Its actually rust free and i have yet to find any wood rot but i havent gone thru the car totally. A good paint job though will help!!!!

I am having the carb rebuilt as i type and the wires to the plugs and what not are VERY VERY flexable and seem to be fine. I will look into new wiring for the entire car. It did not have the battery attached so at least there is not all that corrosion. I have a new battery for it and once the carb is complete i will get some wd-40 in the cylinders to loosen any gunk although i was able to turn the fly wheel but i didnt go crazy.

I will get some transmission fluid in the cylinders as well to help lube the rings and pistons drop in new plugs hang a temp tank from the ceiling and attach it to the carb and try and start her up.

Looking for this to happen mid september! I will document every step of this process for those who might be interest here on this thread.

The car is located in a super secret spot in philadelphia TOTALLY protected in my large garage with a full rotary lift. Its going to come back to life soon.

Here are some more shots.
