Peter,
Sorry to hear you are unwell -- the good news -- I found myself in the same boat 18 months ago and am the proud possessor of 8 stents!! I have an e-bike and found it brilliant for rehab and was back to basic normal in about 8 weeks. I now do about 130Kms on the bike each week and with a Fitbit device monitor my heart rate in real time - if the rate goes above the level I have been told to keep, I just increase the amount of assist the bike gives - simples!!!!

I now do exactly what I want - will go to Austria after Christmas for a week's cross-country skiing(did it last January too!)so I hope you recover as quickly as I did -- DO go to the Heart Rehab course, if offered one - I found it a real help.

Best Wishes for a speedy recovery.

Wow ... glad tuesday was not your day! Get well soon and if there's a next time don't disregard your body's warning. Like when red lights suddenly turn on in your Plus4 dashboard, one must take immediate action!

Speedy recovery, Peter smile

Blimey Peter....that’s a bit of a shock 😳. Hope that you get back on your feet quickly. These things do make you think about life and what’s important don’t they.
All the best from both of us and love to Alis.

Glad you are able to tell us about it....

Adrian, who used to be a regular here, had the same experience and is now fighting fit. So, as with Robbie, you are in excellent company!

Our mortality is brought sharply into focus by this sort of event: my sister had a TIA 3 weeks ago: asymptomatic and seemingly fit and well before. She has recovered, the only lasting reminder is a slight loss of sensitivity to the tip of her left little finger.

She has made an immediate decision to retire. I a questioning my priorities and may follow her lead...!

Get well soon and enjoy life.

Peter

Good grief Peter. I hope that you have a speedy recovery and back to rude health as quickly as possible.

I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes almost two years ago and various dear friends have suffered heart attacks, strokes, lukemia, spinal problems and more. All I can say to all those like me in their second childhood is to take any symptoms extremely seriously and do not just ignore them hoping they'll just go away - your life and your dependents deserve more than that.
