Steady as she goes on the recovery Peter, the good news is all my acquaintances who have stents fitted have bounced back more dangerous than before, perhaps more relaxing sailing is called for.
Keep up the advice on TM

Thanks to everyone for the good wishes.

I am still in hospital but they have now transfered me to the ward and removed all the tubes and wires. If it was not for the fact that today is a public holiday I would probably be getting my second angioplasty and stent today. At the moment it is scheduled for Monday and I may be able to go home on Tuesday or Wednesday, no doubt with a bag full of pills.

Sorry to hear of your near miss Peter, I understand your comment on what goes through your mind at those times. In 2000 I had open heart surgery to replace my Aortic valve. They told me that 1 in 20 people at that time did not survive the surgery, so I spent the last week before the operation preparing my affairs in case I died, it is not a very nice feeling, nor do you realise how much you have to think off.

Take care Mr. and nurse yourself back to good health, I still wish to meet you face to face one day to thank you for your help with my Morgan.

All the best for a speedy and full recovery. From what I've seen the hospital food in Italy is much better than in the UK.
