Are there any registered M3W owners in Indiana? The M3W fulfills all requirement to be classified as an autocycle in Indiana, except for the lack of ABS. Does it mean that an M3W can’t be registered in Indiana?

Yes , Fred Sissons owns at least one MTW , but his is a vintage F type , not one of the new 5 speeders. Pretty sure he is not on this forum.

He lives near Nashville IN.

I had the first one in Indiana, according to the DMV. They registered it as an autocycle.

In August MO passed an Autocycle amendment to their vehicle code.

If it has side by side and steering wheel, it's an Autocycle. You won't have to have an M endorsement, but you still need to wear a helmet. If it has an approved roof, no helmet is required.

Not sure what an approved roof is though.

Georgia dropped the motorcycle license requirement( M endorsement) in June of this year. Helmet still required. Still classified as a motorcycle

No helmet in Maryland. Autocycle category thanks to Elio lobbying every state.

Last I checked in Florida you need a Motorcycle license to drive a 3 wheeler, but no helmet rule...not that i would as I have seen to much brain trauma growing up near one of the nations largest bike weeks. Needing to take a Motorcycle class to drive a Morgan is a bit daft.

Still a motorcycle in Michigan that does not require an M endorsement on license as you do not straddle the engine and because of the car controls. Supposed to wear a helmet unless you have the no helmet provision on your insurance, but you will not be pulled over for no helmet alone. I'm sure it will fall under an autocycle classification at some point in the future.
