EventuallyI got my bum into gear and ventured to share photos of my homemade dashboard. If the uploading works I will add descriptions. The weather here is most depressing and the roads are full of hostile salt. The Morgan will have to stay in  So much for now, Michael

Ooh interesting. What was the driver behind doing this? Was it an issue with the existing setup? Are you using the existing relays.?

Hopefully the photos posted seperately explain some issues.
I've read everything about dashboards in this forum over the last 6 months – thank you very much!
The first thing was to make up my mind about which instruments, lights and switches I wanted to install.
Instruments I ordered from Caerbont – the Flight series is similar to the existing Speedo and Tachymeter, practically anything could be made to order, however.
The wires I ordered from Amazon, the warning lights from europaspares.com and the LED bulbs from a lokal electronics supplier or Amazon. It was great fun receiving new parcels every day.
Then I had to decide which surface it should be: I chose a black leather in contrast to the existing walnut dash after having tried a few versions of stained and varnished veneers.
I then bought a 5mm beech plywood, which is very simple to jigsaw and tough enough to withstand all acting forces. It is cheap and I can change the layout any time just by jigsawing another board.
The challenging bit was to test the correct wiring of the warning light PCB, to solder the switches off the main PCB and to solder them on again with flying wires.
It is all very straight forward and analog – just give it a go. I practised soldering on an old computer PCB previous to working on the real thing.
