My mate Stuart, has a lovely cottage set in a few acres of woodlland.
They have two wood burning stoves.
Two years ago, he bought his wife a chainsaw!
“I thought it would make it easier to sort the logs”
Amazingly they are still married and all of his limbs are still attached.
doh

I have to say that one of the first presents (not Christmas) that I bought my second wife was a lawn mower because her old one was too hard to start. She then promptly promoted me to the position of groundsman laugh

I've got some new gardening gloves for MrsW from Wickes.

It wasn't until I was on the way home last week that I realised I could wrap them up and make them a Christmas present....................

Likewise... I hate surprises and I don't want friends and family spending their money on something I don't want or need.... I get told off for buying myself "presents" and telling Caroline that she can work out how X or Y is attributed to the "gift". But at least it is something I actually want.

But an SLK...now that is doing it with style!!
Nice car, too. Is the engine bigger or smaller than Nero's??
I'm sure you will enjoy driving it whilst she drives Nero.... hide

I'm happy to take anything which comes my way at Christmas, although I accept that I'm difficult to buy for. I do like socks, because walking a lot does mean that my socks don't last and all wear out at the same time. Similarly my underpants get tatty together for some reason.
I've just treated myself to a new phone for Christmas, to replace the Galaxy S4 Mini which doesn't like to be charged. Nothing fancy, just a J5, which came in at under £200, without the SIM card. Nobody mentioned having to trim the Sim down to make it fit though!!!!
And why phones can't transfer settings by Bluetooth? Or maybe they can, but what a faf. Anyway After a couple of hours of faffing around, I'm up and running.

If too much walking ruins your socks what do you guess ruins your underpants??????

One of numerous random one's from No1 daughter at our request - an outside long drop for an Indian village, or a cow or goat, sheep, chickens getting the drift..

Heather and I have gifted each other meals and a roof for the night for a few folk via the Salvation Army. You can't fix the world but every little helps.
