Richard Good man Cheers Simon, I was a little reluctant to post it for obvious reasons but then I thought well we do share everything on here so there it is.

One of numerous random one's from No1 daughter at our request - an outside long drop for an Indian village, or a cow or goat, sheep, chickens getting the drift.. Heather and I have gifted each other meals and a roof for the night for a few folk via the Salvation Army. You can't fix the world but every little helps. That's the thing to do! I hope this idea gathers more and more momentum. I donate to two charities at this time of year and persuaded the Daughter to give my present ££ to them as well - it made me feel good inside !

Good man Neil - if we all do a little it can be done . I use to feel uneasy sitting down Christmas day but it makes a lot of difference to us now in the way we feel about the whole thing. Our youngsters follow a similar route too as yours do so the future looks good.

An ex-colleague was notorious for buying his missus dubious presents, over the years they included a set of Tupperware boxes, a brass door knocker and two "Beware of the dog" signs! He honestly couldn't understand that there was anything odd about what he bought. His wife had grown to accept that if she wanted some jewellery or the like she'd just have to buy it for herself.

I suspect that plans are afoot.
On the subject of rings, many years ago, while setting her mothers hair (whatever that means), my mother lost a ring..........
They searched high and low, and it was gone.
Several months later, while setting her mothers hair (whatever that means), the ring miraculously appeared on her finger.
Where had it been all that time? It had been stuck in the neck of the bottle of setting lotion.
