How does it feel from the "seat of your pants" comparison ? Infinitely better! Now I just need to improve the seats!

The Plus 8 I have has exactly the same chassis as the Aero S3, S4 and Super Sports. So no roll bars, inboard front coil over suspension, fully floating rear coil over suspension. It is all rose jointed, so I suspect a level of adjustability. Later Plus 8s produced after the S5 was announced have the S5 chassis.
Could you let me know who did your set up? I'd like to talk to them!

Hi Peter,
From a couple of discussions I’ve had, when you get it setup it will be important to get the wear on the rose joints checked. At the sort of mileage Tarka has done they may need some work done to tighten it up.
Cheers
Adrian

Mine do at 32k on the Coupe Peter. It got an advisory on the MOT because of them.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Pete, a gentleman in our local group has a Series 4 Aero. The car was awful, wandering, tram lining etc. He took it to Techniques who apparently use their own settings or at least deviate from factory settings. The car now drives superbly like an Aero should, one happy bunny too.

Adrian Adrian, Alistair, Taffmog.. Tarka is unaffected by changes in the road conditions, she tracks straight and true, even hands off the wheel. When cold the suspension rattles, this disappears within a mile or so. After each service the rattling is less, slowly returning. I'm told by the service team at Williams that it is important to keep the joints adjusted and tight and a failure to do this will cause premature wear. Two MOTs, on in April 2016 and September 2017. I changed the MOT cycle so that the MOT is due when the car needs servicing. No MOT comments, at all! All this leads me to believe that the car was correctly set up by the factory during its time with them (July 2013 to November 2014) and that regular checking, every 5000 miles or so, and adjusting of the joints is important. So, it will be interesting to see what the settings are, but I'm more interested in finding out if it can be made any better!

If the car drives perfectly, why the need for a check?

If the car drives perfectly, why the need for a check? A very valid point, but mu OCD drives me to know for certain that it is as good as it could be... especially as I seem to have caught the "track day" disease....

Peter, having done several sprints and tracks days when I owned a TVR Griffith the answer to can the setup be improved is very likely to be yes. I would expect that Tarka is currently set up for general road going use and to maximise tyre wear, as most cars are.
The Grif initially was ok but I reset front and rear suspension adding 0.5 degree of negative camber all round and I increased the tow in slightly to give quicker and more responsive turn in. The rear end got a stronger anti-roll bar. These changes made a huge difference, the car was more stable and I could corner significantly quicker, much to the annoyance of the chaps in 5l Grifs, mine being 4l. The downside was uneven and quicker tyre wear, plus a slightly harsher ride, but if your doing track days your probably not worried about tyre wear.
The MR2 hill climb car, which has completely adjustable suspension like a race car, I set up in a similar way, but it was also lowered 3/4 inch and I fitted racec polypropylene bushes all round. The result was a big go kart. Pretty twitchy at first, but once you got used to it and with hot tyres it flew round corners and was a lot of fun.
So from my experience a tight tuned setup that pushes the boundaries of a road going set up a bit further should give improvements on handling for track use.
