Thanks I'll try that hosting site.
Yes, turbulence. I'm currently researching the mechanics behind transition between two steady state pipe or channel flows where both flowes are turbulent. I use direct numerical simulations with the results validated empirically through hot film and hot wire manometry. To me it is interesting stuff as a lot of it mimics lamina to turbulent transition but with radial or span wise fluctuations not seen when studying classical transition.
Iv not ran any CFD simulations over a vehicle, Iv slowly been working on a simulation of my midget but I may never finish it. I get very similar problems with muck inside the windscreen on that.

Here are a few pics of them collecting there car and one of my daughter. Look at grandads face. She is 20 months and did me very proud when she saw there car and said 'oooo Morgin' Me and her travel everywhere together in an mx5 (roof off unless the storm has a name obviously) so she is used to opentop motoring but she did like the Morgan

Wirral, NOT LIVERPOOL!! LoL ;-)
There is the added complication of my spelling being awful. Sorry about that.

I hope you don't mind that I corrected the img tags in your post quoted above. I put them outside the quote box because they would not have been fully visible. When you select the Embed code for this forum you just need to select the one labelled "BBCode" I know another engineer who is great at maths but he is totally dyslexic. He said getting through uni was a real struggle and it would have been impossible if he did not have a fantastic memory. The important thing is that we can understand you. The rest doesn't really matter.

re. Academic endeavours, I just accept I will not get the 5% for spelling, there is still 95% available and that's a dam good mark.

All I can remember about fluid dynamics is Reynolds number. A complete fog to me in my college days.

Osborne Reynolds, he was the pioneer of studying laminar to turbulent transition in Manchester university. His number is still used today and the questions he posed about 'exactly' how and why turbulence develops remain largely unanswered and Form the motivation for most of my work.
Shoulders of giants and all that. He was a big deal and it's fitting that his name is all that remains with many people years after they study fluid dynamics.
