First heard of these from a Morgan owning friend who first attended whilst he was on regular long spell visits to Australia. He builds rocking horses, started for his grandchildren, and said he got lots of help support and ideas. From how he described it it’s a wonderful idea.

He sold the father in law one for 25-00 even took it the 15 mile with his tractor and set it on the land, and its still going strong . Just returned from in laws with a sack of fresh veg . eat

Yes women have a better communications system and can get together and talk in my opinion about the same thing in a number of different ways and come up with conclusions that agree with what was said 5 minutes ago after agreeing something completely different about the same subject half an hour ago.

Guys tend to communicate facts to each other and then go on their way to put that information into action and need a reason to visit others rather than a lady that turns up for coffee to just socialise.

The problem is that as shown in these sheds most men do not have the space and kit at home and in a lot of case also the need to consult others and get someone to hold the end of a piece of wood or whatever to get something done.

Therefore the company and space in these sheds sounds a good thing.

Watching male tradesmen, they go to all sort of extremes to be able to do things themselves rather than use an unreliable or expensive paid helper when there is no economic reason to have a helper there 80% of the time.

Look at the latest MOT bays where there are bits and pieces to hold peddles down while the operator checks if brake lights are on or they put a mirror in a specific place to show the light working.

Women are better in that they look more to a community effort to do things.

Looking to old age ladies tend to live longer than men and this community thing suits them.

I always wonder about couples where the female goes first and you have the male survivor and how do they entertain themselves. My Mother inlaw is 92 and she has loads of Christmas cards and people from the local church visiting and she goes to various social gatherings.

Most of those surviving males in old age must in a lot of cases be quite lonely as it is the wife who does the front line community stuff. They basically tag along as and when told to by their wife. Who in those cases has passed on!!!!!!!!!!!

That is exactly right Eddie.

How many Christmas cards did you write this year? Me? maybe four.

I love this idear.

It's often only when it's pointed out to you do you realise how lucky many of us are to have workshops and garages.

More Comunity spaces like this can only be a good thing.

I know a few sets of friends that club together for larger hobby spaces than many can have at home. Works out quite affordable between 4 of you, a small unit on an industrial estate.
