2008 4/4 - Wipers only do half a sweep on intermittent then the other half at next cycle. Suspect it's a failing relay but is there a wiper relay and if so where is it?

Here are a couple of diagrams which may help.

This is 2005. Later the relays moved to a central position underthe dash.

L to R it's:
Cooling Fan (High Speed)
Cooling Fan (Low Speed)
Ignition ECU
Fuel Pump
Start
The big one it turns out is wiper delay.
The relays must be fitted with a diode. They are behind the speedo & revcounter and the photo was taken with the drivers door wide open looking up above the steering cowl.

Mine did similar. It was the brush plate and circuitry that you can see in the wiper motor explosion in the above diagram. They’re readily available (mine came from S.V.C. and is an easy change.

Slightly off topic but I always thought that the sweep of the Morgan wipers was a little too long. To save me pulling the gearbox cover off can anyone tell me what the degrees, which should be stamped on the final gear, is?

I can't help feeling that the whole wiper set-up is a bit poor. If the spindles were better positioned I think it would be possible to arrange it such that the blade on the driver's side finished vertically next to the windscreen pillar. The sweep direction would have to be reversed and the blades would have to park towards the passenger side. To achieve this the spindles would have to be offset towards the driver's side. Obviously the sweep angle would have to be reduced.

Thanks Dave, The relays for fan, starter etc. are now under the bonnet but no 'large' one. I'll have a look under the dash.

Sorry to re erect this thread.
As I am having trouble with wipers washers does anyone know if their is a intermittent wiper relay under dash on a 2011 4/4 ? I am wondering if the (if it exists. ( not on wiring diagram) relay also is used for the wipes when using the washers.

My 2011 +4 was 130 degrees but since fitting the new improved wiper blades, I replaced it with 120 to stop overlap. Incidentally, if you remove the cover to take a look it may not be obvious at first sight as the degree stamping which is on the face of the gear wheel may well be hiding under the flat connecting rod, so you need to operate the wiper so that the gear wheel rotates, to reveal it.
