Hello all,

So, I have done my introduction and reserved a warm welcome to this Comunity and now it's time to look for your advice.

At the risk of repeating myself, I'm a newley qualified engineer who worked as a fabricator restoring LandRover, jaguars and MGs before reterning to school and myself have a small collection of old cars. So I know my war round a toolbox and am not frightened of getting stuck in.

My farther has just got his first Morgan. A 1999 4/4 (1.8 Zetec) and I am to look after it for him. So first thing I need is a good set of manuals and I wonder who does the best?

I grew up on Haynes but has found them inaccurate and the service manuals have very little information over common-sense. Do Morgan themselves do a workshop and parts manual? Are they good? Auto data possibly???

Your advice will be appreciated.

All the best,

Leon

O and happy Christmas to you all

To the best of my knowledge, the only workshop manual for the Morgan four wheeler was the one written by R. M. Clarkson and published as part of the Autobooks series. It covers the period 1936 to 1982ish so wouldn't directly cover your Dads car with a Zetec engine but does include a section on rebuilding the front suspension (although DaveW has published a comprehensive 'how to' on these pages which cover it in greater detail)

Happy to make a copy of the relevant part of the Autobooks manual - I'm based in Holywell so just over the river from the Wirral!
