Our dishwasher died on the 24th with 7 people at home.
The fastest delivery for a new one we could get was from Currys for Wed 27th. Against my better judgement we went with them, we have had issues before on washing machine.

The usual farce ensured stay in all day till they give you a slot. In fairness despite the 1 inch of wet snow they arrived on time.

The new machine arrives. The order spec is a white door. This one has no door just the underlying steel sheet. After 20 mins convincing the delivery guys we were right including pulling up their website of the item they agreed it was wrong.
Their boss then tells me they can deliver till Friday.

How do I complain I ask. They point me at Customer Service who frankly don't know up from down & tell me they can do nothing.

I then recheck the website & guess what it shows a Thursday delivery. Back on to CS and more lift music. Again they can't help but put me through to shipping who tell me "oh yes Sir the website is wrong, we have had issues all month you will be lucky to get it for Friday".

The red mist is now well and truly up & using the internet I found the CEO & COO. Their e mails are:-

I will not, ever, buy anything from that company.

Even if as in your case, it would mean going to Dunelm, buying a large pack of tea towels and doing all the washing up.

The last time we replaced our dishwasher we bought a Miele, from a local Kitchen fitting business as part of a new kitchen. Absolutely not the lowest price machine, but the last one managed 12 years of 2 to 3 loads a day without a problem and was getting very noisy.

I have had the same with Appliancesonline but good dealings with AO.com over the holidays so my sympathies to you. Good on you for chasing the emails of the bosses out and bringing them into it. I would be keen to hear if you ever get a response from them. I got a shoddy treatment moment at Dixons/PCTurd LHR T5 sometime back and did the same only to get no response at all.

Another good complaint mechanism is Resolver.co.uk but smaller (but more annoying) errors like this can be the most frustrating.

We go ahead
Unit arrives faulty after paying for it to be plugged and plumbed in.
They say engineer will arrive
He does four days later
He pronounces it failed and tells us to contact our retailer to replace.
They say a week for collection and must be in same packaging.
Has anyone ever been able to remove and then replace the packing after that long I ask, No they answer.
So I decide to vote with wallet and claim DOA and return for refund.

Order from AO.com and replacement arrives two days later working fine.

Literally ditto on the cooker. Don't know why I even used them (they used to be my customer in the previous company is the answer)


Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Consider commenting on their social media pages. Twitter and Facebook posts often get quicker remediation...

As the wife keeps now pointing out we should have used AO.

so far from the boss emails I only have out of office notices from one of them.

I used to work for them as a student...biggest number of complaints were for "disaster care" (as known then) and the delivery service. My favorite customer comment was "did you ship it via Iraq?" referring to dints in a washing machine.

But that was 20 years ago so may have changed?

Another happy AO customer ,used them for the last three appliances and can't fault them.

You Southern lads have it easy try chained to the sink since marriage . swmbo has me that well trained I can guess when her cup is empty without looking . Its off the table and washed instantly then shot in the cupboard . I treat the house the same as the mog hate any mess .

You are under the cosh ! There's enough washing up even with a DW eg pans , cut glass , more pans etc , where's my brillo .

When we had a new kitchen some nine years ago I made the conscious decision not to have a dishwasher. When on my own with the lads we used to argue who loaded the dishwasher then argued who emptied it. I quite like washing up, my space.
