Just back from Mumbles. Lovely drive with hood down, no hat or gloves needed. Had hot choc drink in Verdis....mmmmmm resisted their cakes/desserts.

Gave the +8 a short run out yesterday to number two daughter house. Main roads clear of ice, mountain back road a lot more exciting, big sideways at one point. took me back to the rallying days. Have to wash the salt off now.

A dry & windy day around these parts today after the snowmelt, so I dug the Brookie out for a warm up amble. The weather changes so sharply at times, and I went through sunshine and warmth into cloudy, overcast and heavy cloud just at the time I'd climbed up a little into the snowy verge territory, but despite missing a wave from an oncoming TVR (sorry, fella..) it was a nice half hours drive.
Had to negotiate all the local hunt hangers-on, who feel they have a right to stop wherever they see a sight of someone on horseback over the fields, but a couple of straights meant that sports exhaust got warmed up too..
Marvellous.
Car nicely back in the garage and cuppa in hand now..and still smiling..

Yes and it was very wet, I've fitted Cooper tyres, and perhaps I didn't try enough but I could not get her to slip or drift

Roads were dry and salt-free today. Would have been a waste not to have done. Short but satisfying drive.

Off to Chelmsford (24 ml roundtrip) to get a couple of watches sorted at the watchmaker, CLOSED  But enjoyed the drive of course and the tomato soup at Debenhams

Had to go to the Holiday Inn jct 14 off the M1 near "round about city" to meet the boss for the3 old annual review. A lovely cold winters day with the top down & tonneau covering the passengers side. 70 plus miles of smiles.
