That's strange, I have just picked my car up this morning and the first service at MMC was completely free, as were quite a number of other minor items that were rectified on warranty. grin2 Surely you must have had some extra work done kin?

I did get a bill for GBP455.00, but that was for additional work/modifications carried out at my request and delivering the car to RTCC. Incidentally, I had the new aluminium 'Gearlever Knob USA' fitted and will post a photo over the weekend. It looks good IMHO. smile

Yes, I have had some xtra work done. Oil & filter changed, bought some touch up paints, and had the side sill film replaced, there were some scuffmarks.

Thanks Aerofrog

OK I am English (of sorts) & I know what to expect with regard to price and quality. Now what I do hope is that some mistake has been made. I took my car into my local dealer for an oil and filter change and a levels and general check due to the impending Austria trip. The car is deposited at just after 9am and picked up at approx 12noon. The service manager says "I havent done an invoice yet but you know me, just leave your card details and I will send on the invoice" Well as this was Thursday and nothing received I checked my bank account only to find a GBP510 mad2 charge been deducted from my account :cussing:

No service bear in mind, just oil and filter and a quick check.

I certainly hope a mistake has been made (SM was not in a good mood BTW) otherwise a serious moan (and more) may be on the cards.

So maybe not just the factory.

Boshly,

That ammount is scary. You should check no mistake coffee, but if they stand by the charges you should name and shame. :cussing: nono

Having many years experience of Mercedes Benz dealers I know how easily they can bankrupt you. I had hoped that Morgan dealers had more restraint. winky

BtG, if a mistake hasn't been made, I'd say you've had the Royal-Treatment

That's outrageous Andy, I think that we now have to do a 'deal' with one of the Dealer's in our area for TalkMorgan Aero member's (and Trad owners, if they also feel there is a need) for servicing and in addition purchasing of cars and also commission sales of cars. Too many of the Dealer's seem to forget that many of us are also in business in our other lives, and thus have some idea of what amounts to good customer relationships and added value service. doh

We can talk further over the coming event in Austria and hammer out some ground-rules and then approach Simon with some ideas for further discussion. coffee
