A per the Easy-Up cleaning thread I had to go to Wellingborough early this morning. Goodness me; I had forgotten what aggressive and/or careless driving went on at that time in the morning!! Good to be out of it.
Anyway, hood up all the way there and then a nice drive back with the tonneau on in bright sunshine. Then, as a bonus, when I got home I had a phone call that my guitar was ready to pick up in Stevenage (repair). Another 30-odd mile round trip with the roof off.

Glorious weather today, wall to wall sunshine and dryish roads in Staffordshire.
Went for a drive in MOG, nowhere in particular but headed up to Uttoxeter and then Ashbourne.
Now I'm very new to Morgans but as my confidence is growing, I'm pushing on a bit more and I'm starting to understand the handling characteristics slightly better.
This may sound weird but I feel that I'm missing part of my normal car handling feedback, namely body roll.
I'm already cornering as fast, if not faster than I do in my regular road cars but my brain is telling me that I should slow down because, due to the lack of body roll, it's not sure exactly how fast I am cornering and how close I am to overcoming the tyre grip. (Conti's)
The lack of body roll suggests we can corner even faster but my brain is saying hang on you're already going quicker than normal so we're going to have to find a new way to assess cornering speed because we haven't got the body roll feed back to help in the Morgan.
Does this make any sense to the more experienced and probably faster Morgan Drivers amongst you and, if you can remember that far back, is it a normal sensation when you start to drive the Morgan that you get used to in time?

Went yesterday to Bicester & back for the Scramble. Had great fun but needed to wash the salt off afterwards.

Wife had the Audi so had to use the Plus 4 today but what a jolly jape at -2 deg C with the roof down.
If you get wrapped up it's still okay for shorter distances.

If you get wrapped up it's still okay for shorter distances. I used to go out in ours with no hood or side screens at -4C. It was great fun all togged up even on long distances. Other people thought I was clinically insane. They may be right though...

Nothing better than a crisp clear winters day for a drive top down.

I used to do that when I was 18 and I thought I would feel the same when, some 50 yrs later, I got my current plus4. Guess what, I didn't.

Its unappealing when youre in bed, but once out on the road, its fantastic.
In my early Mog years i would sometimes trip over to Ledgerwoods on a Saturday morning in the frost. By the time I got there I could hardly hold a mug of tea.
Pure pleasure.......gulp!

Nothing better than a crisp clear winters day for a drive top down. Couldn’t agree more. I also found it was the only time I could wear my Irvin flying jacket without feeling unbearably hot.
