I'm getting RTCC to fit the lower grill as per Robbies post.
They had no idea it was available and had to use a picture of Robbies car to find out from the factory what the parts were.
Helen's comment was "Well, after much searching and asking of questions and chasing for responses, I have finally an answer from Morgan regarding the grill. Its amazing how they can have a product for sale that no one knows about.......Anyway MMC can supply - the cost is as follows: Lower grille £156.80, grille mesh £51.49, lower front cowl, £57.50. All plus VAT"
Robbies car looks great with it. Thanks that seems perfect I’ll look forward to the photos and more details Today’s attempt didn’t go quite to plan - my brackets didn’t work as it pushed the box too far out so contemplating using drilling the badge bar as a way to lower it by 30mm

Actually I think the lower front end of the trad Morgan looks pretty awful and I have not seen any solutions that I want to fit. The treatment of the Aero series is much nicer.
The front end of Big Blue, the Morgan GTR, doesn't look too bad but it would be too low and too agressive for a road car, plus one would have to completely replace the front mudguards to get that look.
Sooner or later Morgan will have to re-design the smaller engined cars. I wonder what they will look like. Or, for that matter, what they will be made of.

Hi Stewart - after being off TM for a little while just seen your recent post regarding lowering the front number plate. I did this a little while ago (on a 2014 Plus 4 over-rider version) and posted details on what I did (see http://www.talkmorgan.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/341918/2). Apart from lowering the front number plate by 3 cm or so (which does make the front look better, more 'balanced'? in my view) the mod also significantly stiffened up the over-rider arrangement and has (so far!) prevented any further debris hitting the bottom of the rad. It appears photos are still visible on the previous post - but if you have a problem let me know and I will re-post with new photo links. While I'm here - Happy New Year and best wishes to all

Really..? It's lasted 80 years so far.. I said sooner or later because I think that eventually the cars will have to comply with safety regulations that they are currently exempted from as small volume production. You only have to look at the lost USA market and the cessation of production of the 4 seater to see that this could happen. Another example is the Australian and EU compliance issues that have occured with the M3W. The Aero series, being a more recent design, is more compliant with these standards but is still not being sold in the USA.

I lowered the number plate on my last Morgan which had the direct benefit of getting rid of the plastic box, shielding the lower part of the rad and looking better. Just a couple of simple brackets ( I made mine out of sheet aluminium ) and the job was done. The hardest part was removing the actual plate from it's mounting box, boy that tape sure clings!!
Here for a good time not a long time!! Reg
