I have met Brian a few times, allow a few hours to have a chat with him. He was behind the retaining and modernisation of the street gas lamps around the Malvern Hills. He is an ex NASA scientist.
For this dog poo processor he supplies paper bags for dog walkers to use, as even the corn based disposable bags do not break down quickly enough.
A very clever man.

Brilliant stuff & so simple.
In reality we could also use bi reactors to generate a lot of gas (methane). Most land fill sites collect the methane to generate power.
Maybe we could develop CHP plants using our waste to heat & light homes.

At this time of year I use my dogs (bagged) poo as a hand warmer, when I forget my gloves.

There are many Biomethane generating plants on line, and a few neighborhood CHP schemes running on Biomass. CHP schemes at the moment usually use natural gas as a fuel, but as they make use of both the power and the waste heat they represent a much more efficient use of the energy. One of the biggest is Fellside, which is a CHP plant located at Sellafield. It supplies steam and electricity for the nuclear reprocessing activities and also exports spare electriciy to the national grid.

At this time of year I use my dogs (bagged) poo as a hand warmer, when I forget my gloves.  Why not? I have found the heat of use lately and with 2 dogs I just need to train them to deposit the heat source at the correct times on their walk. No need to get my charcoal stick handwarmers going, just keep the dogs well fed!
