I think Phil's kit is to engineer better support for the BB where/when its needed, making for a mechanically superior installation. Reducing noise would be a gratefully accepted secondary benefit given the BB is no longer smashing against chassis and trim

If you don’t have the NVH bracket which thankfully I don’t, would the top bracket with the jacking screw on it’s own be of any benefit .

I don’t experience any clonking.

The original BB mountings were pretty solid so I doubt that the top bracket would buy you anything.

I have had three bevel boxes , and all three have had front oil seal problems. In removing the nodding donkey action at the front of the bevel box under hard acceleration and the stress this must put on the front bearing and associated parts like oil seals, i am hoping with Phil's kit fitted my repaired box will have a longer life than its predecessors.
Anyone changed the bevel box oil seals?

My cover over the driveshaft has the notches inside it too from the NVH Kit slapping it.

I probably need to ping Phil about this but... I see there are now 2 options for this BB mounting kit upgrade (aka NVH kit fix)... fabricated steel mounts vs aluminium billet mounts. Presume the former are potential rust areas vs the latter being expensive? Anyone decided between the 2?

I opted for the billet kit, lighter and rust proof. It has arrived but I have not had a chance to install it yet. Very nicely made pieces.
