So do I get the general gist of all this as being acceptable in todays society..?
It's simply not acceptable to me in any shape or form, and as a man I want to stand alongside those women who feel they are constantly being judged for how they appear and not what their qualities are. It's up to men to change behaviours such as these, by making antiquated 'leer fests' unacceptable.
JTL -Just because it's been ok in the past does not make it ok now. They used to flog pit ponies to death and put children up chimneys but no-one in their right mind would go along with that nowadays..!
I'm gobsmacked by how many of you feel it's acceptable, I really am..!
Shame on you.

Of course there are women that behave like meat.
And men that behave like dogs.
Is it inevitable? Yes.
Is it acceptable? No.

Just look at the number of views on Cars n Girls on here. What started as a bit of fun has turned into an (uncomfortable to me) obsession.

This type of event is unacceptable today and the publicity around this event is likely to be the begining of the end.
Equally; these well paid entertainment jobs are likely to dry up as a result.

Don't get me wrong. I personally do not think this type of behaviour is acceptable however I recognise that it exists and clearly it is a supply and demand situation. What is done by consenting adults in private is no business but theirs. In this case an otherwise respected journal has thrown it in the public arena for the sake of some cheap headlines. Even the report makes it reasonbly clear that the hostesses should have known that they were getting involved in something a sleazy and we have now idea how much journalistic exageration may be in the article.
I can well imagine that some girls were a bit innocent about what they had got themselves into but I don't think any of them were unable to leave if they wished to do so.
One way or the other I would suppose that this is the end of this particular event in any way, shape, or form.

Although I lately I have been absent I used to be a regular contributor to that thread (and the "Something for Jays thread before that one, with a series of "Belles" I kept finding with cars) And I am all for pitbabes, and for auto show models, whatever. I do admire a good looking girl. I don't mind them being atractive, or even sexy, a bit provocative. Have no issue with that, don't belong to a society that defends women must either dress ugly or stay at home. Nor do I belong to a society that tells women to walk behind their men when outside, with their faces covered. There's a line here, one that must be drawn, even if it can be fuzzy at times. And I don't think that particular thread crosses it in any way, shape or form.

Just read the article and noticed the sub headlines following on from the report
It seems there is quite a lot of fallout and sad that Great Ormand Street have returned any donations from the event
A complete mess
The fact that it was ‘men only’ regardless of what went on on the night is totally wrong
What about all those influential and wealthy women business leaders that are excluded from a men only club
Shame and embarrassment to them all

Not acceptable at all IMO.
As a bloke and a Dad of two daughters and with a granddaughter I find the content of this article aborrant.
I think I am a modern broad minded man. As said what goes on in private behind closed doors between adults is mainly up to them. But this kind of drink fuelled leering, groping and propositioning is simply unacceptable.
The guest list simply adds to my disgust.

Shame on you. With you all the way buddy. The men-only part of this is a major part of the problem with this event. Is it OK for the rich and powerful to exclude women from a charity event? I dont think so! Perhaps in the 1800s... Hopefully we have moved on ab it since then.
