Or "empty nesters" with small grandchildren?

We had the 3 door, with 2.0L petrol engine. It had all the toys, including a TV...really?

I wanted a stylish, sporty 3 door vehicle with character and 4WD.
I'm still looking: the Mercedes CLC is a 3 door, but isn't really sporty and has all the character of a 5L can of beige emulsion paint...!!

Clearly, I want the impossible.... oldgit

Yes but think of all the extra power you get from the 5L can compared to the 2.5L? grin2

My wife has had hers for 3 years now. It’s the 9 speed auto and has not had a single problem. She absolutely loves it. It’s actually fractionally wider than her previous car, a Jaguar XF but significantly shorter. Performance is absolutely fine and fuel economy reasonable (40mpg overall). I had an old Freelander for 10 years that I used for work and which gave me no trouble whatsoever so JLR cars hold no fear in that respect. I also think ithe Evoque still looks stunning and fresh despite it being a 5 (or more?) year old design.

What about the Jaguar E-Pace. Reasonably priced, looks great, and they even have doors for the back seats. Personally, other than a sports car, I find 2 (or 3) door cars a pain in the a...

The Jaguar looks nice but very similar to most other SUVs.
The Evoque has an outstanding design. I have got no idea about performance, quality or usability of both cars but the Landy looks great.
And now back to my Q5...

Thanks for all your comments, Mrs Tuftie loves it versus her Yeti I’m yet to drive it, later today. I think it’s a grand design and the cabin interiors are very good, it has the parking camera which I have in my Mazda certainly helps getting into tight spaces. I also think I would look at the Disco Sport or the new E pace but I think she will go with the Evoque, it’s her car after all so her choice.....now where’s that Plus 8 I had my eye on.....I wish!

I'm glad Mrs Tuftie is enjoying it, that's the only thing that matters thumbs.
