You are a legend Mi3Wheeler. Thank you so much for your help. It is hard to tell considering the videos are recorded inside a gopro case but how loud is the whine over the other sounds. Is it on par with the exhaust decibel levels or even higher?
It must be nice to have a full analog car in this day and age where all the problems have to be computer diagnosed. Need to dust my mechanic 101 and we should totally in for some fun adventures.

Some vehicles had very loud bevel boxes, like the one above, where you could easily hear it over everything else. Some of us got lucky and have realitvley silent bevel boxes. Morgan released the bevel box isolation kit for the noisy units, which helps somewhat, coupled with a thorough flushing of fluid and filled with the proper redline fluid was the easiest fix for the loud units.

Further to this, it's been found that the upgraded bevel box mounting (the NVH kit) doesn't really help and is a very heavy bit of kit for no real gain. If you get a car without it I would recommend that you don't bother to get it retrofitted. As Charlie says, different oil does help, Redline and Millers EP140 seem to be the best so far and it's fairly easy to change and try different types. To put the noise into context, it typically occurs in a fairly small speed range of around 5-10 mph somewhere between 45-65 mph.

That's good to hear.
I hear the fuel "gage" is very liberal and doesn't really give any indication on how much fuel is left. Do you guys just dip a shoe lace or is it just an urban legend?

The fuel guage is one of the "features" of the car! It's a digital gauge and the only thing it tells you is how mush fuel you haven't got. Most of us either fill up as the guage gets to 0%, at which point you still have around 3-4 gallons left, or just use the trip meter and fill up around 200 miles or so. You can fit a longer sender into the fuel tank but this has mixed reports on whether it makes much, if any, difference.

That's awesome.
I want something money can't buy. The spirit of adventure where this a bit of unknown, discomfort peppered with thrills and danger.

Hello chaps !
It seems I finally found a 3 wheeler that ticks my 3 boxes:
1. 2014 model or above (2015 here) 2. Easy to aquire & ship 3. quiet bevel box and full history (although not really driven)
The owner is some rich daddy's boy who has clocked only 200km in 3 years and wants to ditch it. I got his contact from some contacts so its not on the market as per say.
Final price 34,000$
Only investment is change of fluid and new tires (by law here). How much would a set of all tires cost me ?
Yay or Nay ?

That's seems like a good price go for it as long as it has a clean history. I'm not an M3Wman but someone will be along who can answer you the tyre question. Here is a comparison for you at auction last week a 2012 model 7,000mls. $33,000. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2012-morgan-3-wheeler/

Well its been driven twice by its owner for a gala event and car concours and has been sitting idle in an underground vault since late 2015. It has never been driven and is checked on by the Morgan mechanics.
My questions is:
1. Can I order parts directly from Morgan UK ? (i'd like to avoid the white man tax that the local dealers tend to serve me [don't get me started on the corvettes or the alfa romeo it is sometimes 70% cheaper to import parts])
2. Anything I should keep in mind with an idle sitting morgan ?
