Hello there.

We just secured our first Morgan, a 1986 +4.

We cannot wait to drive it and are planning a trip already. It would be nice if someone could advise how much room there is behind the seats. Will my briefcase (47L x 32H x 24W) fit, also the Morgan 'Charles' large holdall (54L x 31 x 26)? Or would we need the smaller 'Harry' medium holdall? One bag for each of us plus a suitcase on the rack.

Lurkers no more and thrilled about it............

Welcome to the world of Morgan ownership. If you dont have a luggage rack on the back, in my experience, successful packing is down to a number of small sqashy bags which can be tucked in. Having the hood up also gives a greater capacity if you are struggling to fit it all in.

That's due to the space available in a 911 Steve - little need to compromise! grin2

Welcome Neil smile

Welcome e to Morganeering from Scotland.
I don’t suppose you’re anywhere near Buchan NSW?
Edit:
Ah! Just checked Buchan is in Victoria, not NSW.

Packing a MOG for an Australian trip, NO problem
Plenty of room for a Sarong and a toothbrush......

Just travel light: I remember the revelation my mother had when she realized that she didn't need half the things that she packed in her large suitcase and started using a small bag instead. When I travel I like to be able to carry no more than a small satchel. Same with packing a Morgan I think. Does your new car have the Rover M16 engine or the Fiat ? `the M16 can be made to go very quickly !

Two CabinMax Metz Extra Flight Approved backpacks will fit behind the seats and have the advantage of leaving your hands free when carrying. https://cabinmax.com/23-backpacks
No connection with CabinMax other than as a happy customer!
Don.
