Whilst reading the latest issue of Classic Jaguar magazine, I came across an interesting article on Jim Randle who was a big wheel in Jaguar engineering and the chap responsible for pushing the XJ220 car through to completion. The Morgan link is that he designed the crash structures for the Aero 8 chassis which has the best crash performance MIRA had ever measured on an open car. Very comforting for Aero owners and surprising what you can find when reading about a totally different subject.
Here for a good time not a long time!! Reg

If i remember correctly, Jim Randle also offered MMC a styling model for the aero 8. I may have seen it a Gaydon.

Martin, I didn't know that, are there any pictures around ? Ok my memory got it slightly wrong. It was Jim Randle and his Jaguar associate/friend Keith Helfet. Story and pictures in book: Morgan Plus 8 by Michael Scarlett page 104. As i said i am sure the model is a Gaydon.
