Well I love coffee, have done since school age, long before hipsters were a thing.

In my experience, only a few do it right and there’s a world of difference, try a flat white at one of these shops and you’ll see what all the fuss is about.

Edinburgh , “Wellington coffee” on George Street.
Manchester, oddly named “North Tea Power” in a slightly scruffy back street.
Lemington Spa, Corleone cafe on Regent Street

Costa, Nero and especially Starbucks are the Liebfraumilch of coffee, they just churn the stuff out indelicately, you won’t get the right impression there.

And no, I don’t have a funny beard and my clothes aren’t two sizes too small laugh2

That would be Organic milk then grin2

Whilst I worked for the Ministry the in house term for Organic products was you know the stuff with more s8it in it, and it's true I've seen it sick.
Proving the provenance is impossible and don't let them tell you otherwise, it's only a paper trail.

I’ll remember your recommendation, Simon, not visited Bristol yet though.

The texture is the size of the bubbles in the foamed milk, the smaller and finer they are, the better the coffee infuses through them. I know it all sound like pretentious twaddle and unfortunately; plenty know the lingo but don’t have a clue how to actually do it.

The assistant said "that is £40 thank you" to the lady! Just for devilment I said " excuse me those jeans are ripped, they should be sold at a large discount as the lady will have to repair them after purchase."

Both the shop assistant and the well dressed lady looked at me as if I was from a different planet.

Nothing unusual there then!

You mean people buy ripped jeans in a shop, not a charity shop? I thought it was just that there were more poor people around after the all the economic difficulties & benefit cuts.

I stopped going into Costa Coffee and alike when I was told by the person serving me that I had to request extra hot to have my coffee at a decent temperature. The worlds gone mad.

Quite often they don't even know the lingo, many times I've been given "expresso".
