Bunny, that price & those exhausts are the best news I've heard today. Neil's correct when he says why couldn't MMC have done that.
Do CC polish the header pipes..? That would make a great difference..!

Well done Andy,I was curious on what work you guys had decided, and I see you went for a Brooklands #33 + Brooklands #21 mix of solutions!  (btw, what's that Brooklands number? Right now it's a unique car, we can cal the combo of solutions the "Brooklands #... fix"  ) And, unlike mine (admitedly just an experience), it looks good and well polished, a job well done! I am still undecided on what to do. The new exhausts, the ones with the 3rd mount (and requiring a reflash of the ECU) are still in the workshop and my car still has the "custom" exhausts mounted and working perfectly, many miles (a few thousands) past the usual "cracking distance" ...

Do CC polish the header pipes..? That would make a great difference..! Custom Chrome would have been happy to polish the header pipes if we'd removed them but we decided to leave them in situ to simplify the job.

Top Job! Seriously impressed.
I'm still running with MMC's "fixed" set but I know which way to go next should the worst happen.
Just to add a little spice, not only do I wonder why MMC couldn't arrive at a similar solution, but I somehow can't help thinking that had they done so then the resultant price would have been somewhere in excess of £200....or is that just my cynicism showing?

Well this is the current Morgan solution to the Brooklands exhaust problems, three rubber mounts supporting the box. Hopefully it will sort the problem but I do think that the Brooklands 18 fix looks the better option, particularly like the extra flexi joint forward of the box. Good work Bunny, have you sorted your rates? I really hope these solutions work as I like the look and sound of the Brooklands system.

I must admit that I'm struggling to understand how the latest MMC solution will help much. It seems to me that the long pipe from the header will still be wobbling around relative to the box with the potential of forming stress cracks. Maybe the ECU flash 'tames' the engine sufficiently to minimize harmful movement? Time will tell I guess.

Sorry Andy, only re-reading your post now I noticed this
We noticed that with the existing setup the rubber mounts were under tension so they added 10mm to the length of the o/s pipe so that the rubbers get an easier life.
Can you explain this a bit more clearly to a non-native English speaker, please? What is the o/s pipe and where exactly were the 10 mm added?
