I use Methylated Spirit and then re polish the area, it works perfectly well and is considerably cheaper.
We always have some in the house it's great for cleaning of White goods and removing sticky label deposits.
I was once told that undertakers use meths on the hearse to keep the black paint shiny. Not sure how true that is. I had not heard that one.

Surely undertakers would use formaldehyde to embalm the hearse against tar!

How do you remove olive oil stains from a colour coordinated Polo shirt? This stuff is what I use to degrease things and clean electrical contact surfaces, it's very good at removing non set oil and grease stains too. I believe French polishers pour meths on tabletops the light it to get a good finish,
If you use meths on a hearse and light it , that would be a good finish, a really early cremation

I use UPOL System 20 Fast Drying Degreaser S2001/5, gets rid of surface contaminates including tar spots and silicone prior to doing paintwork.
Only downside is that I think its only available in 5 litre containers
