Think I'll just stick to the old EB110 then grin2

Yes I'd heard comments in the club office about tyre wear. Not surprising many are little more than garage queens.

Actually cheaper to carpet the route with Axminster and hire a member of the royal family to push it.

Cant imagine a Veyron owner understanding the word cheap.

The thing is, if you can afford to pay 1.5 million pounds for a car, are you going to expect it to cost £300 to service?
A pal of mine was talking about the millions of pounds of fabulous classics being raced at Goodwood .....they are ( probably) not owned by people who work at Tesco’s. If they prang them, they just have them fixed and probably don’t bat an eyelid. Another world.

As Simon mentions above, a number like that is lost in the margins/rounding error. It's almost part of the honour badge of that situation I guess?

The annoying thing is that these frighteningly expensive things that skilled people spend years developing never get out often enough to need routine servicing in most cases. So sad.

Apparently the special Michelin PAX tyres for the Veyron have to be glued to the rim & after 3 sets you need new wheels. The job can only be done in France. What likelihood that tyres will be available in 20 or 50 years & the car will be anything more than a museum ornament?

Good grief that's frightening. I guess that will be reflected in a price for the parts!

Sheer craziness and a lot of fuss over a "Bunny jelly mould" grin2

Back to the subject title there was McClaren in the local hotel car park the other day and it was tangerine colour, it somehow reduced it to kit car status as a result of the colour strange really. I have seen the same model in a Burgundy metallic and it looks expensive and rather svelte quite important choice of colours I think.
