Thought it was time to stop lurking and introduce myself (though the lurking has been most informative, as I've read a couple of hundred posts in the 3W forum)
I purchased a 3W recently from Charlie Jarvis of Michigan, who did a fine job of maintaining and upgrading the 2012 #458 which he purchased new from the factory.
Unfortunately it's been very cold since the car arrived, so there hasn't been much driving. But it has given me the opportunity to take the car somewhat apart and do a deep clean and inspection. Really just wanted to see how it was all put together.
Very surprised at how few stainless fasteners Morgan used on a vehicle so exposed to the elements. Also surprised there is no sealing between the front compartment and engine area to the cockpit (tunnel area), as well as no sealing around the rear bulkhead panels to the swingarm area. I though it rained a lot in England?
Still it's a giggle to drive, and just sitting in the garage studying it give great satisfaction.
I look forward learning more about these Most Excellent (Silly) machines, and hope I can contribute in small ways to the forum.

Congratulations Steve and enjoy the ‘car’. Yes it’s a Morgan and they’re all like that. Everything you need to know is on here (!), hope you have many miles of smiles!

Welcome to the world of M3W.
You will experience lots of smiles and enjoyment (and you may also learn the opposite) Never forget: You own a M3W for fun, not as a necessity. Enjoy!
You can use lots of neporene and carpent tape to seal all the little gaps in the construction. That keeps some water and dust away from the tonneau.

Welcome Steve. +1 on the lack of stainless steel fasteners - take a leaf out of the biker's book and spray plenty of ACF-50 on anything you think may rust away!

Welcome to Talk Morgan, Steve! Plenty of sages here with a lot of M3W knowledge to share. Glad that you are enjoying it, even if it hasn't been while in motion. I'm sure you will love it as much as I did, especially once the weather turns.
