Hi all.

To break my duck, I thought I should write something - anything!

I have been more or less a Morgan obsessive for over 15 years since going on a factory tour in Sept 2002 with my (then) local N Devon RoSPA group.

Still not an owner but in recent years it has come nearer. There do always seem to be reasons why ownership is about 18 months away though!

I have been a member on here for a few years and viewed as a guest before that. I have previously also (mainly) lurked on Mogtalk and eMog.

I find that someone usually replies with roughly what I would have said and I'm a slow writer at the best of times.

Anyway, as I have you regulars at such a disadvantage, I thought I should make a small step to redress things.

I live in Cheshire, where I moved for love over 10 years ago. We married over 5 years ago. I have 4 adult step children, the last of whom are near to moving out. Mrs M has been quite unwell for the last year, so so my top priority is caring for her.

In the mid-noughties I was a member of MSCC for a couple of years and rejoined last year. In the last few months I have made contact with and joined Devamog, who seem friendly and welcoming.

My ideal morgan varies over time but might be an older fourseater. Not keen on Corsa Red or BRG but would try to be flexible otherwise (favourites include ivory, baby blue, nut brown and don't tell Mrs M but I like yellow). I would like a car in good driving order. A well sorted Fiat engined car appeals. Not too keen on bonnet straps and "bling" (although quite like the look of the 80th 4/4s).

I have had the very good fortune to have several friends with Morgans. At one time I was insured to drive a generous friend's kent engined 4/4.

Well, that is a little about me. I will try to join in a bit more. One day I may be asking questions when hunting for my first Morgan and as a new owner.

Best wishes to all on TM

Welcome to TM and good luck searching for your perfect Mog. Dont leave it too long though as time has a nasty habit of disappearing before your very eyes.

Welcome to TM. Good luck with your quest.

There are two 4/4 4 seaters in the current Miscellany - and I don’t think the cheaper of them is too far from you (I know the car - its well looked after) - see bottom of page 62.
